Surf Report: 2-3 Ft+ at OB Pier, Fair Conditions — Clean Early Window Before PM Onshores

Conditions are fair to fun across San Diego County breaks this morning, with the best windows before the afternoon onshore winds pick up.

Current Conditions (May 19)

  • Ocean Beach Pier: 2-3 ft+, fair shape, best on the south side
  • Tourmaline: 1-2 ft, mellow, good for longboards and beginners
  • Blacks Beach: 2-3 ft, occasional 4 ft sets on the reef, clean early
  • Del Mar: 1-2 ft, small but fun on a fish or longboard
  • Oceanside Pier: 2-3 ft, fair, best at the south jetty

Forecast

A small south swell is filling in and should peak Wednesday-Thursday with overhead sets at exposed south-facing breaks. The best days this week look to be Wednesday and Thursday before a northwest windswell adds some texture Friday into the weekend.

Water temp: 63°F
Wind: Light offshore AM, switching to onshore 10-15 kt by early afternoon
Best bet: Dawn patrol through mid-morning for clean conditions

Updated daily. Check back tomorrow morning for the latest conditions.
